"Reflecting the love of Christ in action" is an important part of the mission of Heritage Christian Services. The unique essence of Heritage has always been reflected in the importance placed on nurturing the spirit as well as the body, mind, and soul of those we serve. At Heritage, we recognize that each person is created by God, precious in His sight, and has unique gifts, talents, and abilities.

Spiritual life is defined as the way an individual relates to God. The spiritual lives of the people we serve are supported and encouraged daily. This emphasis on a healthy spirit involves the work of staff, the care provided to families, and the operation of all programs and services. Each individual’s faith and spiritual growth is encouraged, respected, and supported.

To meet the needs of those served, Heritage Christian Services has developed relationships with more than 70 different faith communities. Prayer, church or synagogue attendance and involvement, devotions and music all support individual beliefs. In addition, the Spiritual Care Department plans a variety of activities throughout the year to help individuals grow in their spiritual lives.
