 Therapy Services: Physical, Occupational and Speech-Language

Traditional therapies at the Pieters Family Life Center include:
 
• Physical Therapy services can help improve muscle strength, coordination and mobility.
 
• Occupational Therapy services are designed to improve upper extremity function and self-care at home and in the community.
 
• Speech Therapy services maximize communication skills, cognitive skills and swallowing ability.

 Therapy Services: Art, Music, Dance & Massage

Creative therapies available at the Life Center include:

• Art Therapy uses the creative process of art making to improve and enhance the physical, mental and emotional well-being of individuals of all ages.

• Dance Movement Therapy is an alternative approach to psychotherapy utilizing the body and expressive movement as a means to enhance mind-body connection, self awareness, emotional integration and physical expressiveness.

• Massage Therapy is an individually designed treatment for recovery from stress, pain, injuries and surgeries to promote greater health and well-being.

• Music Therapy uses music to address physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs while improving quality of life.

• Somatron Massage incorporates the Somatron, or music chair, which permeates the entire body with resonating chambers of soothing vibrations which stimulate circulation, eases tension and promotes deep relaxation.
