Teen A.T.T.I.T.U.D.E. (Awareness Teamwork Trusting Independence Together Understanding Differences for
Empowerment): This is a great volunteer opportunity for teenage girls, ages 12 – 19! Mentors are needed
for this fun peer program designed to connect teenage girls with disabilities to their disables peers. Mentors will: Learn from one another; share and express ideas; Build friendships; and Help change
attitudes in our community.
Mentors and mentees will meet twice a month (the first and third Tuesdays of every month from October 2009 – January 2010) at the Pieters Family Life Center for fun group activities and experiences. There will be a mentor training on Tuesday, Oct. 6 from 7 – 8 p.m. at the PFLC. The entire group will meet for the first time, and first group experience,
on Tuesday, Oct. 20 from 6:30 – 8 p.m.
