Health Insurance
Heritage Christian Services offers coverage to full-time employees at a very low cost through Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Health Reimbursement Accounts
Part-time employees may be eligible for a health reimbursement account. HCS will deposit money into this account each month, based on the hours the employees work. These funds can be used to pay for health care related expenses.

Retirement Programs
Heritage Christian Services offers a pension plan to all employees after 12 months of employment providing at least 1,000 hours of service have been completed and you are 21 years of age. This plan is funded completely by HCS. We contribute 6% of your annual salary into your pension account and you decide where that money is invested.
We also offer a 403(b) retirement plan that allows you the opportunity to save pre-tax dollars toward retirement. You determine the contribution of your base salary that you would like invested each pay period.
Tuition Reimbursement
We offer an opportunity for all employees to apply for tuition reimbursement. Full-time employees are eligible to apply for up to $1,500 in reimbursement per year. Part-time employees are eligible to apply for up to $900 per year as long as a minimum of 750 hours are worked within that year.
Employee Celebrations
We host many employee celebrations throughout the year, which often include staff members' families. These events include spontaneous parties, Holiday Luncheons, Old Timers Luncheons and more. These events are a great way for us all to celebrate and share some fun together.
Professional Certification
HCS was one of the first human services agency in the country to certify all of its direct support professionals through the use of the College of Direct Support - an online learning program. Courses include health and safety, positive behavioral supports, and empowerment. Upon successful completion of the program, each participant receives a salary increase, a certifying document of Direct Support
Professional training, a nationally recognized title, and an increase in industry knowledge and skills, including valuable computer education. To become a Certified Direct Support Professional, frontline employees must be employed for at least six months and complete all pre-requisite educational programs.

That's why we've put a focus on education beyond basic training with the use of both internal and external trainers.
