Springdale Farm offers group tours for schools, child care centers and scout troops. On a tour, visitors can enjoy the animals and activities on the farm, including a tour of the Riedman Robotic Milking Center, while addressing the New York State Standards in Science, Math, Language Arts and Social Studies. Visitors will:
- Explore the life cycles of animals
- Develop awareness of the interdependence of plants and animals
- Apply observation, classifying and predicting skills
- Apply mathematical reasoning including estimating, predicting and numeration
- Expand listening, speaking and vocabulary skills
- Become familiar with the products that come from a farm

Guided tours are one-hour long, but groups are welcome to stay longer to enjoy other areas of the farm. Cost is $5.00 per person, minimum 15 people, and must be scheduled in advance. One chaperone is recommended for every six students.
Tours are scheduled Monday-Friday at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 2:00 pm. Special requests for tours at 9:00 am and 12:00 pm may be accommodated. Tours are hosted rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
Each teacher will receive a pre-tour packet two weeks prior to their scheduled tour that includes a description of what is offered on the tour, map of the farm, related classroom activities, etc.
